Terry Fox Run/Walk

Every year the women of Tri Delta do their part in the battle against cancer by supporting the Terry Fox Foundation and every year we meet our fundraising goal with the help of our membership and families.

The 2019 run is at the Mooredale location. Updates will also be posted to the Tri Delta Toronto Facebook pages and Instagram.

We would love to see some familiar faces! If you are able to join our team for this years run please do register via our page, or if you know you won’t be able to make the date we’d ask for your monetary support to help this Canada wide event!

Work Smart with Tri Delta

Tri Delta is boldly leading the way by addressing important issues such as gender equity and barriers women face in the workplace. Our Fraternity is proud to partner with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to address these complex societal issues and take an important step toward closing the pay gap. AAUW’s mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

AAUW Work Smart is designed to empower women with the skills they need to successfully negotiate their salaries and benefits. The Toronto Alumnae Chapter was selected to host one of these inspiring workshops and you’re invited to join us!

Over the course of the two-hour session, you’ll gain confidence in your negotiation style through facilitated discussion and role-play. Topics to be covered include:

  • How to identify and articulate your personal value
  • How to develop an arsenal of persuasive responses and other negotiation strategies, including how to get a raise or promotion
  • How to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits
  • Information about the wage gap, including its long-term consequences

2012 Warrior Dash for St. Jude

Calling all Warriors for the 2012 Warrior Dash!

Have you ever wanted to run a 5k obstacle course? Climbing over walls, getting tangled in ropes and jumping over fire?
What a great way to test your limits, right?! Think we made this up?

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you are up to then the DDD Toronto Alumnae Chapter wants to recruit you to be a Warrior! This year’s Warrior Dash is at the Horseshoe Resort and is being held on July 21st.

And why is the Toronto Alumnae Chapter asking for your support in this grueling task? Because this isn’t just any competition – it’s a philanthropy event for none other than St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Push yourself to your limits and help find a cure for pediatric cancers!

September 30th, 2011 – Meet and Greet

Lights refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided along with games and activities to meet the collegians. It’s a great way to meet our new sisters 🙂

Also, don’t miss out on the special early bird dues deal! You can pay just $50 at this event and that covers your dues for the YEAR, the dues increase to $60 after the October 15, 2011 deadline. Reminder we are also always collecting for Juliettes Place, feel free to bring any donations to this event as well.

Collegiate Recruitment Updates

Hello Alumnae Members!

As you are surely aware, recruitment is once again upon us. The collegiate chapter has been preparing throughout the summer months for this upcoming event and meeting new potential sisters! The collegiates would love to have alumnae help out during this busy time of year. If anyone is willing to to assist the chapter during recruitment that would be great! They are looking for alumane to help with each round, organizing the voting, ballots and additional assistance that is required for that round. Even if you could assist for part of a round that would be very helpful!

ROUND 1A/B Thursday September 15 and Friday September 16, 2011 from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm
ROUND 2A/B Sunday September 18 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Monday September 19, 2011 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
ROUND 3 (Preference) Tuesday September 20, 2011 from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

In addition to your time the collegiates would love any sort of donation or loaned items towards PSR (Partially Structured Recruitment). Items they are in need of:

– donation of funds to rent a helium tank

– Costume items to do with Masquerade theme – boas, masks, gloves, costume jewellery
– Candy Themed items
– Garden Party decorations
– monetary donations are always welcome!

Silver, Gold & Blue Homecoming

Event: Silver, Gold & Blue Homecoming

Saturday, October 2, 2010
11:00am- 5:00pm
30 Madison and Varsity Stadium

Family and Friends are welcome at this event!

This event will take place in 2 parts, please feel free to attend 1 or both:

Part 1:
Get together with friends and family at 30 Madison Ave arrive by 11 am. At this event there will be activities and food for the whole family to enjoy. Face painting, 50/50, pizza and cake, just to name a few!

Part 2:
At approximately 12:25 we will be heading over to the Varsity Centre to cheer on the Blues at their football game vs. Ottawa, which starts at 1pm. 

If you are not interested in the game feel free to stay a bit longer at the chapter house or continue on with your own plans.

ATTIRE: To get into the spirit of homecoming we ask that our guests wear DDD or U of T gear or Blue and White!

There is Green P parking on Madison Ave just south of the house (right hand side) or on Spadina behind the Madison Pub Next to Spadina Station.

Cost to attend the house and enjoy all the excitement, company and activities, FREE!!!

Football Game  Pricing:
U of T students = FREE with valid t-card
Advanced ticket Pricing (pick up and pay for at 30 Madison Ave. before the 12:25pm on game day)
Adult= $8
Kids under 12=FREE

Regular Pricing (to be purchased and picked up at the stadium)
Adults = $10
Youth 13-18 – $5
Children 12 and under = free

1)  the amount of guests,  specifying the number of Adults, Youth and Children. 
2)  indicate if you plan on attending 1 or both parts of Homecoming. (Which part)
3)If attending the Football game, state whether you need advanced tickets that you will pick up at the house
