Joan passed peacefully on June 4 at Scarborough General Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Bill Lockhart married for almost 69 years. Joan was a stay at home Mom, with extraordinary cooking and entertaining skills.  She hosted many parties at the house and the cottage. Joan was renown from the neighbourhood for her baking and especially her candy apples. Sunday Night Family Dinner was a tradition. Whether held at the family home in Scarborough, later Markham or after moving to permanently to the cottage/ home on Paudash Lake near Bancroft.

Joan loved her trips to Florida either running around Disney or basking in the sun on the beach. She always came home with a great tan. While at the cottage/home she enjoyed numerous boat rides with the family and visits to the public beach. Joan loved going to the movies and theatre. She enjoyed a nice fancy drink, and of course, Joan loved to dance especially with her grandchildren at the cottage/home.

Joan was a long time member of St. John the Divine Anglican Church from 1960 to the present. She will be missed by her coffee hour friends.

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and her PSW workers Solemia and Colleen for their support and care.
