“Paying Our Dues” – Early Bird Deadline is Oct. 15!

Posted on

These days, the expression “to pay one’s dues” is almost always used in a negative context. It conjures up images of new employees being exploited, working long hours for little pay. Their hope is that once this initial period of hardship has ended, they’ll be rewarded with better work/life balance and a fair wage.

Paying our annual Tri Delta alumnae chapter dues isn’t a hardship, though, because the benefits are plentiful and immediate. In addition to an annual directory and quarterly issues of the Toronto Tri Delta Tribune, our local dues cover sponsorship of the collegiate chapter, philanthropic donations, free and subsidized events, refreshments, supplies, our Founders’ Day room rental, Circle Ceremony gifts, and our Convention delegate’s expenses. As you can see, that’s a great deal of value for the cost of a week’s worth of lattes! For a limited time, local dues are only $35.00.  International dues are $20.00 and cover various costs, including The Trident, Convention, programming, and administration. International dues are waived for Life Loyal members. (If you would like to find out more about Life Loyal membership, go to www.tridelta.org/lifeloyal.)

Local dues are $45.00, but if paid before the early bird deadline on October 15th, they are only $35.00. That means, you can pay your combined international and local dues for the low cost of $55.00! (And the total cost for 2015 grads, due to a Toronto Alumnae Chapter subsidy, is only $25.00.)  To pay by cheque, please contact our treasurer via this website. You may also pay by credit card.  The discounted PayPal widget is posted on this site (top right).

I hope that you’ll consider adding your name to the list of thirty-three members who have already “paid their dues” for 2015-2016, even if you’re unable to attend every event on our calendar. Your continued support of our alumnae chapter helps to keep Tri Delta strong in Toronto.

In the bonds,

Carly Klassen
President, Toronto Alumnae Chapter
