Work Smart with Tri Delta

Tri Delta is boldly leading the way by addressing important issues such as gender equity and barriers women face in the workplace. Our Fraternity is proud to partner with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to address these complex societal issues and take an important step toward closing the pay gap. AAUW’s mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

AAUW Work Smart is designed to empower women with the skills they need to successfully negotiate their salaries and benefits. The Toronto Alumnae Chapter was selected to host one of these inspiring workshops and you’re invited to join us!

Over the course of the two-hour session, you’ll gain confidence in your negotiation style through facilitated discussion and role-play. Topics to be covered include:

  • How to identify and articulate your personal value
  • How to develop an arsenal of persuasive responses and other negotiation strategies, including how to get a raise or promotion
  • How to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits
  • Information about the wage gap, including its long-term consequences

A Tri Delta At the BIST Expressive Art Show

The Brain Injury Society of Toronto holds an annual Expressive Art Show every Spring. This year it’s at Artscape Youngplace at 180 Shaw St. And I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be there with my book Concussion Is Brain Injury: Treating the Neurons and Me!

Brain injury in the Six Expressive Art Show May 21 to 25 posterThe BIST Expressive Art Show launches on Tuesday, May 21, 4:00 to 7:00 pm with paintings, illustrations, crafts, sculptures, and copies of my book available for sale at a deep discount ($20) and for personal autographing. I’ll also be doing a brief reading at 5:00 pm.

“the intricate details of the author’s experience are riveting and enlightening.” Kirkus Reviews

“Jeejeebhoy’s tale is highly emotional…uplifting, while giving a realistic view of recovery.” Self-Publishing Review

This year, I will also have one of my artworks — a photographic collage — on display.

I’ve always been impressed with the evocativeness and beauty of many of the art pieces. I hope you will check out the show and the many artists there! I’d be thrilled to see you, sister Tri Deltas, your friends, family, and neighbours, too!

Careers’ Night March 25

Career Night is fast approaching and the collegiate members are looking forward to learning about all of you, what you do, and how you’ve been taking the world by storm since your time in chapter. This is an amazing chance to share your wisdom and meet the new generation of women in the workplace, and maybe do a little networking.  The ladies would love to connect with you all and have expressed an interest in the fields of law, medicine, and business (including, but definitely not limited to: marketing, accounting, and self owned business). If you are interested in speaking on the panel please reach out to Giovanna Campagna at with a blurb about your self and your availability.

Career Night will be March 25th at 6:30 pm at the Chapter House (30 Madison Ave)- refreshments will be provided. We look forward to connecting with you there.
