On March 22, Canada Delta celebrated 30 years of sisterhood with a Breakfast at Tiffany’s pearl-themed banquet at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa. Canada Delta’s 25th anniversary banquet was cancelled only days prior to the event due to the pandemic lockdowns, so this celebration was extra special.
Past Fraternity President Sarah Lindsay, one of three volunteers who initiated the charter class in 1995, gave an inspiring keynote address.
Canadian Executive Board Director Leah Jochim recounted some Ottawa chapter milestones and recognized the many Canada Delta volunteers over the years.
It was wonderful to catch up with Canada Alpha sister Fran Stronach, who has made our national capital her home for several decades.
In fact, Toronto was well-represented, as alumnae chapter members Carly Klassen hosted the event and Anjaliya Sonnilal led the Candle-lighting ceremony.
Anjaliya also received the Denise Elaine Strickland Award for Ottawa alumna of the year. Congrats!
