Last Call: AGM & Afternoon Tea 2011!

"Afternoon Tea Party" by Mary Cassatt (1891)

Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude & the pleasures of company.  – Ralph Waldo Emerson, Letters & Social Aims

Last call to come celebrate the pleasures of company and sisterhood!  The Toronto Alumnae Chapter AGM & Afternoon Tea is fast approaching.  The event is being held at the perenially elegant King Edward Hotel on Sunday, March 6, but the RSVP deadline is this Wednesday, February 23.  Kindly click on the AGM & Afternoon Tea 2011 link under What’s Happening at torontotridelta.com for all the details and to RSVP asap.  Thanks to all who have already confirmed their attendance via the Web site or by mailing payment to our treasurer Jennifer Foote.  The event promises to be a magnificent and memorable one, so please feel free to invite family and friends who appreciate a good cup of tea to join us.

Reminder: AGM & Afternoon Tea 2011

“A woman is like a tea bag.

You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.”

(Eleanor Roosevelt)

"The Tea Service" by Claude Monet

Dear Tri Deltas & Tri Psis,

Forget The King’s Speech, you’re invited to the King’s for tea!  To RSVP, just click on the AGM & Afternoon Tea 2011 link under What’s Happening at torontotridelta.com.  Although Mrs. Roosevelt’s quote is a good one, here’s hoping that the only hot water you’re served is in your teapot on March 6th!

In the bonds,

Carly Klassen
