TAAP Scholarship Luncheon

The 2009 TAAP Spring Scholarship luncheon will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Badminton and Racquet Club of Toronto. We are thrilled to present keynote speaker is CBC/CTV broadcaster Gill Deacon.

Gill is Canada’s eco-guru and author of the book “Green for Life”.

Her book will be for sale at the event.

There will be a silent auction.

Free underground parking is available (with additional covered Green P parking across St. Clair).

Where:  Alpha Gamma Delta – 506 Huron Street, Toronto
What: We will be accepting donations for Dress Your Best.

It is a registered charity that contributes to poverty relief.
The donations they need are Women’s Clothing & Accessories:

Two piece suits, blazers, blouses, tops, pants, skirts, dresses, sweater sets, spring jackets, winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, office footwear, belts, purses, dress scarves, jewelry, cosmetics, new hygiene products and hairstyling products. Proceeds will support education for women. A Way Out is a locally founded charity that provides clothing and skills training for women in Namibia so that they can support themselves and their children (and not have to sell themselves which increases their chances of being infected with HIV).

Call for Tri Psi Scholarship Applications

Psi Psi Psi awards $1,000 scholarships to collegiate members of Delta Delta Delta who are entering their third year.

The deadline for applications for the Tri Psi Scholarship is March 5, 2009. Please note that there can only be one applicant per chapter, and each application must be accompanied by a letter from the Alum Adviser. The international Delta Delta Delta website has the application form and further information on the Tri Psi scholarship. We hope that Toronto third-year collegians will seriously consider this useful scholarship, and I look forward to hearing from one of you.

Afternoon Tea at the Old Mill

Dear Members,

To start off the new year the Toronto Alumnae chapter would like to  invite you to join us for Afternoon Tea at the scenic Old Mill.

Catch up with old friends and get a year end update while savouring traditional favourites with contemporary flavours in the Old Mill’s Tea Room overlooking the flower gardens.

The afternoon will also be an opportunity for you to bring your old Tri-Delta t-shirts with you as we continue to work on making a Tri Delta t-shirt quilt.
