New and veteran DDD alumnae alike came together to catch up over tea, scones and delectable Devonshire cream at the historical Old Mill for this year’s Annual General Meeting (March 29, 2009).

Here are a few highlights of the alumnae executive report to the chapter:

Communications: New this year was the creating of our website.

Philanthropy: Our philanthropy strategy was created and a partnership was formed with the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario – we have pledged to raise $10,000 over 3 years.

Collegiate chapter support: We hosted 2 very successful events, the first of which was the annual New Member Dessert Night which was a Pictionary themed event.

Social Events: Founders’ Day was held at Hart House this year, in the Music Room, bringing alumnae back to a place where they had spent such fond memories in their collegiate days. The event was attended in record numbers. The night was filled with good food,  laughs and a lot of catching up.

Membership: Year after year the Alumnae Chapter remains a strong and vibrant one. We are 58 strong – one of the healthiest alumnae chapters across the board!
